Third-Party AI Processing

To deliver personalized meal analysis, nutrition scoring, food recommendations, and coaching responses, AmbrosAI shares certain data with the following third-party AI providers:

• OpenAI (GPT-4o, Whisper) — chat responses, vision analysis, and voice transcription.
• Google Gemini — chat responses, image classification, and vision analysis.

• First name and onboarding answers
• Chat messages you send
• Meal and menu photos you choose to upload (processed for nutrition analysis)
• Voice messages (transcribed to text via OpenAI Whisper)
• Recent meal history and nutritional context (for personalized recommendations)

Data never shared with AI providers

• Contacts, precise GPS location, or passwords
• Photos you have not selected for analysis
• Face ID or biometric data
• Payment information

Safeguards

All AI providers are contractually bound to protect your data. They do not use your data for training their models (per their API terms of service). Processed data is not stored by AI providers beyond the duration required to complete the request.

You consent to this AI processing during onboarding. You can view what data is shared at any time in the app under Settings → AI & Privacy.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your personal data is stored securely using cloud providers that comply with GDPR and ISO 27001 standards.

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to:

• Provide our services,
• Fulfill legal obligations, or
• Resolve disputes.

You can request data deletion at any time (see Section 8).
